The U.S. Designation Standards

The full-body harness is UL classified to meet NFPA 2500-2022 edition standards, ANSI/OSHA Z359.11-2021, and CAN/CSA Z359.10-18 harness standards. 

4. Petzl ASTRO Bod Fast Full Body Harness

 

With its integrated CROLL L ventral rope clamp, the Petzl Astro Bod Fast Full Body Harness is designed for greater efficiency and comfort during rope ascents. 

The full-body harness includes a wide, semi-rigid waistbelt and leg loops with FAST automatic buckles that provide excellent support. While the double-back self-locking buckles at the rear of the harness allow for a shorter adjustment when the dorsal attachment point is used. 

The Petzl Astro Bod Fast is ANSI Z359.11, NFPA 1983 class III, CSA Z259.10, CE EN 361, CE EN 358, CE EN 813, CE EN 12841 type B certified. 

5. Petzl Avao Bod Full Body Harness

 

The Petzl Avao Bod Fall Arrest, Work Positioning, and Suspension Harness is designed for greater comfort in all situations. This full-body harness includes a wide, semi-rigid waistbelt and leg loops that provides excellent support and its lightweight, breathable construction maximizes airflow. 

This harness also features double-back self-locking buckles at the rear of this harness between the waist belt and the leg loops, allowing for a shorter adjustment when the dorsal attachment point is utilized. 

The AVAO BOD Harness is ANSI Z359.11, NFPA 1983 class III, CSA Z259.10, and CE EN 361, 358, and 813 certified.

6. Yates Harness - 387P Basic Rope Access Professional Harness 

The Yates Harness - 387P is a state-of-the-art version of their popular Basic Rope Access Harness. The new lightweight aluminum D-rings are used on side positioning, chest, and dorsal fall protection connections. The harness’ wide anatomical waist pad promotes increased comfort and added back support and its leg pad configuration is contoured and sewn in place to offer a super comfortable fit for those long-hanging jobs. 

The 387P Harness is specifically designed to incorporate a chest ascender for rope access work and the shoulder straps are specially tailored to reduce chafing of the neck.
